I have never been an active person, even as a child I did my best to avoid sport at all costs. My mother is a large lady, and while I didn't want to end up obese and suffer from knee and back problems as she has, it was not motivation enough to get me moving.
I left school and was without work for 18 months. My eating habits were not the best and I packed on the weight. I became obese and stayed this way throughout my 20's and early thirties. Having two children added to my weight. Then I met Lorraine. She was slim and beautiful. I longed to be like her. I watched her go to the gym and work hard....and enjoy it! Who knew that training could be fun lol. I told Lorraine that I was sick of myself and asked her for encouragement and advice. Lorraine provided not only encouragement and advice, but understanding and empathy and began with suggesting small changes to diet, like cutting down on my sugar cravings of chocolate, coke and ice cream and working towards a more balanced diet, to begin with, walking and classes at my own pace. She was there to move me along and didn't accept any of my excuses.
I actually found losing weight and toning up to be easy, once I had set my mind to it. I became stronger and fitter as well as losing inches. The biggest changes I noticed was not just from being a size 24 to a size 12, but I was not suffering so much in the heat, and that I wasn’t puffed from walking like I used to and my knee pain dissipated.
Lorraine was my number one fan and was encouraging and supportive throughout my whole journey. I believe she will be a great source of motivation, information and encouragement to anyone she helps and I can’t recommend her enough, she returned me to health, and I'll be forever grateful.
